Know your software

Know your software

Efficiency with bookkeeping these days depends, not only on up-to-date and relevant accounting knowledge, but also on an inside-and-out knowledge of your accounting software.

My clients have often commented how fast I am. I’ve been called a whizz at ______________________(Insert Xero/MYOB/Reckon here).

The reason I can be so fast is because I know the software. I’ve done the training, I’ve got my certifications, and I’ve used it myself day in day out for years, both in my own business and in my clients’ businesses.

Business owners – you are really great at what you do, but chances are that you were not so great at bookkeeping when you ventured into this business. And if you’ve managed to get a handle on it despite this, then I suggest that it’s possibly not the best use of your time.

If you’re not entirely sure what you’re doing and know that you need some help, there are plenty of whizzes out there like me. This kind of learning can make a massive difference to your time, efficiencies, and to the information that you can get out of your system. And that sort of information is crucial when you’re making business decisions.

Bookkeepers – this is an easy ‘cream on the top’ service for you and is a good way to get yourself some new clients. You use it, know it, and love it already, and your clients need your expertise. Share your knowledge and add software training to your list of services.

Get in touch if you need help.
